Rachel Gillespie is a passionate professional astrophotographer and landscape photographer based in the stunning South Island of New Zealand. With a focus on capturing the breathtaking beauty of the night sky, Rachel hosts clients in the Aoraki Mackenzie International Dark Sky Reserve and the surrounding areas of Fiordland, Canterbury, Kaikoura, and the West Coast. Armed with her Canon system, including the 6D, EOSR, and R6, Rachel's technical expertise and artistic vision allow her to create mesmerizing images of the celestial wonders above.


With experience and a deep connection to the natural landscapes of the Mackenzie Country, Rachel's work showcases the captivating dance of the stars, the ethereal glow of the Milky Way, and the elusive beauty of the Aurora Australis. Her attention to detail, composition, and mastery of low-light photography techniques bring out the subtleties and intricacies of the night sky, leaving viewers in awe of the vastness and majesty of the universe. Through her workshops and guided photography tours, Rachel inspires and educates aspiring astrophotographers, sharing her knowledge and love for the night sky while capturing unforgettable moments under the pristine dark skies of the South Island.

Workshop EarlyBird Price now is $NZ5,747.00, or payment plan $6,497 with a deposit of $350 including accommodation on a twin share basis, own room further fees will apply, boat tour and transport around the South Island included, one flight option is included with extra flight options available dependant on number of participants


When you book your spot, you either pay in full or a deposit and payment plan

If you are booking flights and accommodation outside of our workshop inclusions we recommend you make sure you can either change dates or have travel insurance to cover this.
